I would also check the prop and shaft and make sure they are clean and free of barnacles.  I have had a similar problem with black smoke when the prop gets a lot of hair on it.

Once I cleaned the prop all went back to normal.

Can someone let me know where this is...not real good with

Is it the flexible hose leading to the water exchange muffler box?

I concur. Had same issue and it was the elbow clogged with carbon buildup.
