This could work although it would have to be on the honor system for it to
work in a volunteer ororganization and then members would have to be very
scrupulous in using such a system by posting location.

I'm just brainstorming to start the discussion but, we might need European,
Northern and Southern hemisphere libraries. Perhaps if we had an open web
pages for each library where members could list books available. A member
wishing use the book would email the possessor and forward the postage,
the possessor would then ship it and list the name of the recipient as the
possessor on the web page. I imagine that for the US we could set one of
those flat rate USPS boxes as the postage rate. Our Euro and SH members
could come up with suggestions that would work there.
