Doug,
Have you pulled the bilge board up right behind the mast compression post.
There is often another set of connections for the mast wiring right there.

Nice thought - the connections are inside the mast base, which I cannot
access without pulling the mast, unless I am missing something. Seems
easier to climb the mast and check the lights. Please enlighten me if
there's a way to check the connections short of pulling the mast.
The boat is new to me as of August 2012 and I have no idea if all the
lights went out at once or were neglected. I had to work on the stern
light. It was corroded and once cleaned up, the existing bulb started
working. The Bow pulpit light was burned out. Basically this boat had no
working lights when I took possession. I just made sure to only sail in
the daytime last year for the short season.
