Hey Jeff
I assume by your hull number you may have a Perkins. I have hull 174 and
replaced fresh water pump last October. Very easy job to do yourself. I
purchased a new pump from TADiesels in VA. I buy a lot of Perkins parts
from them. They are very helpful with great service and prices. I plan to
send my old pump to a company here in Florida that rebuilds them to have
on board as backup. I cant remember the name but if you search the 320 site
you will find reference to it.
If you do fresh water pump yourself, I would recommend replacing the
thermostat at same time. Again, TADiesels was able to get me everything I
needed to do this. It will also be a great time to pull the heat exchanger core
and inspect for clogged openings. I also replaced the lower coolant hose
-" U-shaped" at same time I did pump.
Good luck,
Jeff Willis

My fresh water pump (not the raw water pump/impeller) died on me and I
needed to either buy a new one or get mine rebuilt. Any suggestions where to
buy or if you’ve been successful getting it rebuilt?
