Lou - Doubtful that the Honda will start an A/C unit. Mine won't start a
12K BTU unit.

.Hello Art,
If the generator is placed near the mast could you use the regular 30' dock
power cord which is 30 amp rated with the twist lock, I know the cord would
be a bit long, but it should fit the generator and boat connections and act
as if the vessel was plugged into shore power.
I just purchased the vessel in Jan 2014 and am enjoying the site immensely.
I would like to purchase the Honda EU2000i this weekend for the fourth, just
making sure I buy the right unit.
Great info from everyone thanks!!

I have a similar portable generator, You will need to get the below adaptor
so
you can plug in an extension cord into the shore power plug. Should be
able to
get this from Defender or West Marine, ~ $55.00 I use the generator to
charge the batteries or heat up the water for a shower on the hook or
mooring.

Hello all !
Does anyone know if the Honda generator EU200i with the built in 30 amp
plug can be directly attached to the stern plug connector that takes the
shore power cord ?
