On our Catalina I rerouted the blower hoses so that more air flow circulated over the engine and I replaced the on-off switch with a rotary timer switch.  We could turn the blower on for two-three hours, go to sleep at anchor and sleep comfortably without too much battery drain.

We recently started using blower because of the previous posts. The blower started to make a squealing noise
Has anyone had this issue.
We are new owners and have no idea if previous owner used it. We do have the smell and heat in aft cabin so would be great if this helps
