[C320-list] Lewmar Hatches

OK here's the deal. You need to remove the plastic frames on the inside of the boat, they just pull off. On the outside you'll see a horizontal gap at the midpoint of the Al frames. It is filled with a complicated "S" shaped gasket. You need a dental tool or other sharp pick to get this out. Once removed you need to mask off around the gap and then fill it with good quality caulking, 3M or Sikaflex, black looks best. You should have someone on the inside of the boat to announce when the caulking is oozing thru so you know when the gap is full; you should also place some paper toweling on the inside to catch any drips. Wait for the caulking to cure and you're done. From 10 feet mine looks like a factory job!CheersJohnM1999#574
