[C320-list] Lewmar Hatches

I second Allan's suggestion. We use a vinyl cleaner and protectant each spring to clean and keep the gaskets supple. The only leaks we've had were cured by removing the gasket from the outside frame joint and caulking with black BoatLife.

Bill - I wipe the all the hatch gaskets down at least twice a year with ArmourAll for vinyl. Supposedly, it cleans them and makes them swell back to the normal shape. Not sure if the swelling is true but in 13 years, no leaks (except for before I started using the ArmourAll). This trick was learned on this site!

Has anyone dealt with the small Lewmar hatches on the sides of the boat? Ours leak in the rain. We have tried to revive the rubber gasket by rubbing vasoline on them but it hasn’t helped much.
Has anyone replaced the gaskets? If so, where did you get them and how hard was it to remove the old and replace with the new?

Thanks,
