Graeme,
Make it easy on yourself. Thicken epoxy by mixing wood sawdust into the
resin. Fill the existing holes with the thickened epoxy and let it set.
Select metric equivalent coachscrews the length you need and pre-drill the
holes with the recommended bit and forget SAE.
