[C320-list] Mast water leak.

I too have in-mast furling and was getting rain water in the bilge. I thought it was coming into the mast from the top but regardless, there is an easy fix. There are/is drain channel(s) at the base of the mast. You can't really notice them, at least I can't, but if debris collects inside the base of the mast, water cannot drain out as designed and ends up in the bilge. Use a very strong stream of water from a hose (or better a power washer) and blast water under the base of the mast. You will be surprised at how much stuff will wash out. Once this has been cleaned, I doubt you'll have the problem any longer-- I don't.

This has become standard procedure for me when ever I'm washing the decks.

Hope this helps

I have an in-mast furling and have found out that the opening for the
furling lets the rain in draining at the bottom of compression post
into the bilge. Is this a common occurance?
