Hi All,

 

We purchased a SmartPlug shore power inlet kit with a 50' Shore power cord
to replace our aging twistlock.   If anyone's interested I'll document the
installation procedure.

 

We spoke with the owner for a while and they're about ready to start
tackling the shore power pedestals (which is a larger marina conversion
challenge).

 

Very impressed with the feel of these cords/connectors vs our twistlock.  

 

Now. if only the cord wouldn't get so gooey over time..  But hot water in a
large bucket with a cup of OxyClean seems to make the cord like new after
soaking for a half hour or so.  Then I coat it with 303 Vinyl Protectant and
I'm good for a couple years.
