No, it had zero rpm reading for the first minute or two then seemed to become normal. I never noticed what the battery charge indicator did.

Ahoy....Do you still have a slow response to rpm indication when starting? I have had the same, and no indication of battery charge until I advance the throttle, than both indicators become normal......Joe
