Tim, 

If you have an inverter, you'll want to leave that breaker in the "off"
position when unplugged from shore power. Depending on how the wiring is
done, there is a possibility that the water heater could drain your
battery. I know that mine is wired in to the AC power circuit from the
inverter. 

If you don't have an inverter, then never mind...
