Sure, Take a torch (propane or MAPP gas) and quickly heat the nut and it'll
come loose.

Once that's off, a gear puller will be required to remove the prop itself.
Put the gear puller on the hub and tighten it down to put a decent amount of
tension on the prop. Assuming the prop doesn't just pop off, take the
torch and heat the hub. It really should pop loose pretty quickly and
effortlessly, especially if you tap the hub lightly with a metal hammer. If
it's really on there tight, put some ice cubes in a baggie and wrap it
around the prop hub. After 10 min or so, remove it and retry the tensioned
gear puller / heat on the hub.

Don't just use the gear puller only, you could cause a bit of damage and
really it shouldn't take much once it breaks free.

Subject: [C320-list] Prop nut

I just tried to take the prop nut off. Notice I said tried. I just came back
from tool store with a 1 1/8 deep socket and a 16 inch bar, 1/2 drive. This
will be my second attempt!

I have put WD40 on the nut.

I did remove the cotter pin.

I have blocked the prop with 6x6and a couple of 2x6's up against the boat
bottom.

Before I get all manly (which I am not) and use force on the nut I thought I
would ask; " What am I or did I miss in trying to get this nut off"?
