[C320-list] fresh water pump

I had the same problem several times.  The first time it was the filter
leaking right where it attaches to the pump.  The second time it was valve
on the stern shower was completely turned off.

I had the same problem on my MK II from new, despite the dealer replacing
the pump. I have found that my system is very sensitive to complete closing
off of the galley sink mixer tap but even then cycles reasonably regularly.
What I have done is fitted a SHURFLO Accumulator Tank that has reduced the
recycling from every few minutes to a long time between pumps to the extent
where it is not really a problem anymore.
