Try contacting Dennis Ferriello. He was with Snake River and is now selling his own system. A. He may know what the problem is and will likely help you.

B. He will sell you a superior system that will allow you to use your current sensors and wiring if he can’t.

 I found him to be exceedingly helpful.

When we purchased our boat the tank monitor most recommended on the list 
seemed to be the unit by Snake River, which I purchased and installed. 
Now it always tells me that the holding tank is 1/2 full and 1/2 empty, 
no matter what is the true situation. Does anyone know how to diagnose 
whether the problem is in the electronics vs. the sensor wiring? I 
really hope I don't have to replace the latter. And does anyone know of 
a drop in replacement?
