[C320-list] Shift cable problem

I’d ask to see the Yanmar bulletin…I can't imagine why Yanmar would make any recommendation on the subject.


Then, I'd probably insist on them returning it to factory spec anyway.

Anyone run into this:

Had boat yard replace the shift cable running from the Edison pedestal to the yanmar engine. Per the yard they ran the cable using yanmar recommendation which loops the cable now connecting it from the front instead of from the back at the engine. 

The result is at the pedestal shift forward is now reverse and reverse is now forward. 

Any suggestions or comments appreciated.  My thought is to have the yard go back to the original setup connecting from the back of the engine. Haven't had an issue in 13 years.
