[C320-list] Rebeding Chain Plates

I did all my chain plates last year. Hull 973 has solid deck, not sure what hull number it started at. The only thing I would add to Allan's detailed instructions is that you may want to get some longer bolts. My bolts were cut off flush with the nut on the interior plate. Some were bent a little and other had bad threads. It was very difficult to get the nut back on after reassembling the chain plate (I used butyl tape instead of caulk so it probably added some thickness). I've seen some 320s with decorative acorn nuts on the bolts over the regular nut and that would probably give enough length to the bolt to make things easy to reassemble. I ordered bolts that were half inch longer than the cut off originals and then cut them off flush.

The earlier articles mention at some point Catalina went to a solid deck in the area of the chain plates.  Does anyone know what Hull # that might have started with?
