[C320-list] head hatch

Louis,
I always thought that the orientation of the hatch opening was to pick up
(scoop) a breeze into the cabin or head, while either under sail or at
anchor.....Do not believe that air can be removed by causing low pressure
air behind a hatch due to the low hull speed.

The head hatch can be rotated to open in any of the 4 positions. Before you
remove it, you'll want to get either some foam hatch tape or butyl tape to
reseal the unit. You'll have to unscrew the trim piece from inside and also
the screws around the frame on the outside. Give some thought to whether the
new orientation will help with the problem of lines getting stuck under the
head hatch. Specifically the mainsheet between the traveler and boom during
a gybe if the line is loose. Maybe it's all the same.

How well that idea works we'll all wait to hear!

On a related topic, has anyone reversed the opening of the head hatch, in
order to such out odors and moisture from the shower?

Thanks.
