[C320-list] head hatch

Some thoughts on an older 320. I've had leaks from worn "O" rings in the handles. They are easy to replace. Try some synthetic grease on "O" rings. No leaks there since replacement. Did the slot trick on the split ring some years ago. No more leaks there either. Every Spring we wipe the gasket with a rubber/vinyl cleaner/protectant. Lots of the black comes off on the rag. Better on the rag then running down the gel coat. This keeps the gaskets supple. 21 years and no leaking ports except for those we forget to close.

Subject: [C320-list] head hatch

During 4 days of torrential rain I found that the head hatch leaks-probably around the frame. Does anyone know whether the hatch is screwed in or bolted down? Also is the trim surround in the head removable? Thanks.
