John,
You know I haven't really looked closely at the pump yet as I noticed it at
the very end of the season when we were pulling the boat. I did note that
the pump appears to be throwing water as it's running as I could see the
staining in the lazerette.
I'll check it out more closely when the weather warms up (if it ever does).

On the bilge pump issue. I assume you've sussed out the leak
source...clamped hose, pump housing?? If cracked housing probably best to
replace the pump as this is a safety issue. I would get a proper bilge pump
rather than trying to jury rig another pump; again a safety
