[C320-list] Re Hatch latch in the head ( toilet ) compartment

I have a Catalina 320 MK2 purchased in 2008 which has a hatch where the latch is bonded to the acrylic clear surface. Recently the latch has pulled off and despite regluing a couple of times it will not remain attached.

Have any other owners encountered the same problem? Is it possible to purchase a latch which is fastened through the acrylic ?.The only other option that I can see is to purchase a new hatch which is going to prove quite expensive particularly looking at the cost of replacing the hatch in the cabin top.
