[C320-list] Castle prop nut loose.

When we pulled our bronze shaft and replaced it with SS, the bronze shaft
had a bronze keyway. If you feel you have to use a SS Keyway in a bronze
shaft, be sure to apply lots of TefGel anti-seizing grease or else you can
be pretty sure, it'll corroded itself in place. Even with TefGel, you might
have a problem if you leave it for many years.

I'd be less concerned about the keyway corroding to the shaft as I would be
it locking the prop in place. If you can't get the prop off, you have to
drop the rudder to change out the prop shaft.

So... I'd just buy the $2 Bronze keyway and save yourself a lot of grief.

Also, if there's room, you really *do* want that second thinner nut. Look it
up. I'd bet the main reason it wasn't on some people's boats is that their
marina did a poor job at commissioning this part, or they have a
folding/feathering prop without enough room.

Ted

Thats an interesting question - I think the key on mine is steel but I
haven't looked in detail. It's a bronze prop and shaft, of course, not
brass, which would rapidly galvanically corrode on it's own!
