I replaced the OEM

*Promariner Charger in 2007along with the OEM Excide 4d Nautilus Gold OEM
batteries that it had cooked. I installed a Xantrex 20 amp charger and two
Excide COM 4D P truck batteries. I have the stock Yanmar alternator on the
engine.*

*The batteries take about a pint of water each annually to maintain and we
just cruised for three weeks with no complaints.*

*My plan is to do a load test on the batteries soon simply because of their
age. I expect to replace them with two more just like the old ones when the
time comes, but I am considering going to four 6v deep cycle batteries and
a dedicated Group 27 starting battery...I doubt that I will follow through
as I have many other items with higher priorities on my wish list.*

*Fair winds and Happy 4th,*
