 Re: Xantrex TRUEcharge2 40-amp chargers - experiences?

I am on my fourth truecharge2 in 8 years. We use Windwalker
approximately 6 months a year. About half of that time we are at anchor.
We typically charge the batteries with a honda generator through a charger.
I always carry a spare unit as we spend time in the bahamas and found
that importing a charger is very expensive. When the unit works it works
well - but I am not happy with the up time. The first unit was DOA.
The last failed in 2015. I find that technical support from xantrex is
very poor - although I did have some luck with *Inverter Sales and
Service* in TN (PJ Gonzales). I will now be looking elsewhere for my
spare and using solar to charge.
