I forgot to mention that a put in a strainer between the thru hull and the pump.

It's still working. It was placed pretty much where the macerator pump was located. I think half inch hose ran forward through both starboard lockers and then through the stb. bulkhead into the Stb. compartment in the forward cabin. From there it snakes by the water tank into the anchor locker where the wires to the windless are. You need to remove the piece above the shelf in the cabin to get access to that space. Good time to check on the anchor motor connections. The faucet is just a small faucet with a garden hose connection. I use a short piece of hose with a high pressure nozzle. So it's a pretty straight forward at least on hull 973
>>>
>>> Couple of tips. Put in a way to drain the system easily at the pump. A bad head like smell in the v berth turned out to be stagnant foul water in the hose after only a couple of weeks. Double clamp everything even above the waterline at the faucet. I didn't do that one and it blew the first time I used it-lots of water from that pump-but the bilge pump worked. When a long hose wraps around the windless a couple of times you'll also get a short piece dedicated to wash down only! I also use only a plastic hose nozzle so I can just drop in on deck when I need to.
>>>
>>> Since moving to NC I now have a new thru hull and pump both in the forward stb. Locker and re-plumed the tank with the macerator in the original location. Just in case I find us out 3miles.

You should have a placard on board stating it is illegal to dump sewage anywhere in the great lakes. When I do Vessel Safety checks, that is one of the items on the check list. That thru hull should be closed and locked or have the handle removed such that it cannot be opened. The DNR or the Coasties will be very very angry with you if they find it open or operable. Just a "Heads Up".
