I use non-marine stainless bolts sized to fit thru the holes in the fittings
and just short enough that the stainless turnbuckle boots will slide over
them. The bolts keep the buckles from turning, the boots keep the bolts from
falling out, and they are easy to pull out to readjust shroud tension.
