I would not change the existing table due to resale value.  By the female
fitting and have something made or purchased.

Skippers,  many thanks for the numerous posts and pictures of the clever
designs and suggestions you have provided.  Apparently there are many of us
that are not pygmy sized that found the existing table awkward to "scoot"
around.  Many great suggestions to consider.  Thanks so much for your input.
