[C320-list] New Tachometer

The yanmar works from a magnetic pickup off the flywheel. It is located just forward of the transmission casing to the port side of the center line.
I had the same problem. I tried wiggling the contacts and pulling them on and off to no avail. Eventually I used some fine sandpaper to clean the terminals thoroughly and some pliers to crimp the push on connectors a bit tighter. After that it all worked again
The signal from the pickup is very weak so the slightest poor connection or electrical interference can stop it working

The alternator based rachis are used on other engines like Westerbeke I think?
