[C320-list] Rub rail

Just to follow up, Catalina Tech Support told me that the original rub rail came in two 20' sections, from bow going aft, then two 6' 1/2" sections to stern with screw holes to the hull every 4". Now they only ship in 6' 1/2" sections. For my problem of the insert popping out, they recommended that, if the aluminum frame is in reasonable condition, which it is or at least I'm not embarrassed by it, and before buying all new rail sections, I could either screw the old one (which is scuffed up considerably) to the existing frame or get a new $231 insert that would most likely fit tighter into the existing frame. They also no longer sell the end caps, which were cosmetic. I guess it's just a matter of cosmetics and/or money, like always!

Chris, per your request. This is from the Catalina Direct website. There are no instructions on the rub rail page, but I imagine you might e able to just pop out the insert under the section you want to replace, unscrew the section and replace the section(s), then pop the insert back in. The instructions are on the item page for the insert. In addition, my port aft end cap somehow got ripped off, which I just noticed. Catalina Direct has those as well.

Bev,
Please share that information...e.g. contact info, part numbers, instructions, URL, etc.

We have a banged up section (due to somebody's 'courtesy' of retying our lines and fender at the slip) and 6' would be ample to cure the issue...
