Subject: Re: [C320-list] Motor Mounts - Yanmar 3GM30

I had a small fuel weep that dropped unseen onto the aft starboard mount and
the rubber eventually disbonded from the metal

I replaced them with R&D mounts which are about one third the price and are
constructed differently so the disbonding can't happen. They also cannot
allow engine to drop in case if a knockdown

I replaced one at a time without removing the engine. To do this you need to
remove the mount mounting lugs from the engine block. The engine is easily
supported by remaining three mounts temporarily

Once they were all in place I did the shaft realignment process

Hope this helps

Graeme

not be that much more. Shaft and coupling alignment is critical anytime, but
especially after engine mount replacement. We published an article on that
subject in Mainsheet a couple of years ago explaining the process and it
should be on the website.
