[C320-list] Perkins M30 Thermostat Part Number and Source?

Hi, Christian,

I replaced my thermostat on my Perkins M30 in the spring of 2016 as part of
high temp troubleshooting. I sourced the part and required gaskets from TA
Diesels and found them to be quite helpful with quick shipping.
Unfortunately, all my records are far away for the summer at my boat and I
don't have the part numbers handy. I do not remember any additional spring
that came along with the thermostat so I must have used my original spring.

I do recall there are two sets of gaskets that go on either side of a sheet
metal plate that fits between the water pump housing and engine block. On
my first attempt to reassemble, I overtorqued the bolts that go around the
water pump housing and I ended up extruding (and breaking) one of the
gaskets. Of course, water poured out of this area the first time I started
the engine after reassembly.

Couple of days later, with new gaskets and a smaller torque wrench I
reassembled successfully. Unfortunately, I don't have those torque values
with me, again they are at the boat.

I also removed the heat exchanger and exhaust elbow to inspect and found
them both to be in excellent condition (engine only had 350 hrs). I
replaced all rubber (heat exchanger elbows, hoses, and exhaust hose) as
well, all overdue for renewal.

After all this, my engine temp at load came down maybe 5 deg to about 190
indicated. I have procured a non-contact thermometer and will go through
the engine under load this fall. At this point, I suspect temp sender or
gauge calibration.
