[C320-list] Pressure water pump noise

The pump location is interesting as mine is located under the sink on the
stove area wall. This location makes it very noisy. ON my Catalina 28 it was
mounted under the aft berth and you could barely hear it anywhere on the
boat. I wonder how many other location there are out there and how silent
they are?

Art, you don't indicate where the pump is located or how old it is. On our
#62, the pump is in the port setee, fwd of the water tank. The original pump
had small rubber pads around the mounting screws to help dampen the noise. I
could always hear it. This year I replaced it with a standard pump, same
SurFlo brand, the vibration dampers are larger, and the pump is much
quieter. I can hear it when in the salon; but, nowhere else.
Try a soft rubber pad under the mounting plate.

My pressure pump is real noisy. I know it is because of the location. Has
