Ours had same problem -- replaced the thermocouple/gas valve and all is well.

One more thing... Be careful to not have anything covering the oven exhaust slot on the stovetop when using the oven. It's guarded by a small rectangular aluminum strap at the center of the back edge on the stovetop. So don't have a cutting board or anything else on the stove top (other than pans and such) when using the oven.

Oh, you won’t hear gas like you do with the burners because the flow is very slight. Just enough to have and keep a small pilot flame. That’s also why it takes so long to get the air bled out of the line. Very slight gas flow moving here.
