As the new Commodore of our C320 International Association, please
let me introduce myself. I began sailing on a friend's Catalina 22
in 1979 on a lake in Alabama. Shortly thereafter, I bought a Compac
16 which served well for years. In 1999, at the Annapolis Boat Show,
my wife, Mary Lou Fultz, and I bought our 2000 Catalina 320,
Romance, which we keep at Herrington Harbour South on Herring Bay
about 20 miles south of Annapolis. We are retired and live in
     Edgewater, Maryland.
I am honored to serve as your Commodore, and I am interested in
hearing any suggestions, ideas, and comments that you believe would
make our association better. I confess that I have limited technical
knowledge (or skill) regarding our boat's systems. And, I have
vastly less knowledge of the critical workings of the heart of our
association, the website (indeed, if you get this message I will
consider that a notable accomplishment). However, I am willing to do
whatever I can to make our association work well for its members. In
that regard, I have two observations that I will soon share with you
in another message. This email is already too long.
     David Allred
     Commodore
