[C320-list] Water in Bilge

When water is heated in the hot water tank, there isn't much room for expansion. So if it is very hot the pressure-relief valve allows some water out to prevent tank damage.

I wonder if anyone has tried putting in a T-fitting, perhaps in aft section near the port side by the refrigerator compressor. The "T" would cut into the hot water line that feeds the aft shower. Coming off the "T" you could run a line about 30-inches going upward. The end of this line would simply be capped. It would normally contain only air and thus will allow the hot water a place to expand.

When I last dropped the mast (10 years ago) the top of the pipe was completely sealed with silicone. If this is not done, or the seal is leaking water will invade the inside of the boat. Sorry to say.
