[C320-list] Replacement Furling System

I replaced the furler drum in 2012 on our 1995 hull 271. The new parts cost about $100 from Schaefer. We found that our boat had a Schaefer 2000 furler, and the 2100 parts did not fit. I called Shaefer and they were able to find enough 2000 parts to build a furler drum that would work with the new 2100 drum parts. Schaefer was really helpful in resolving this problem, however the extra parts added significantly to the cost of the repair.

David,
Do you happen to know how old one's boat needs to be to have this original Schaefer 2100?  I assume "newer" boats started shipping with the updated 2100 once Schaefer started making it.  It would be great if we could figure out a hull number range at which the switch over occurred
