[C320-list] Status of the Chesapeake Bay

Hey Bruce,

We were out yesterday (Saturday) and saw quite a few branches, logs and other debris mid bay south of Pooles Island. Nothing that could really damage a boat going 5 or 6 knots, but there were some heavier pieces that would KILL a fast moving power boat.

A LOT of dodging around trying to miss everything. Couple of hull strikes that of course make you sit up and pay attention.

There was a LOT of half submerged stuff, that was a bit un nerving.

My biggest fear was getting a branch in between the shaft and the hull and jamming up the prop. Fortunately didn’t happen.

Good luck on your journey.

We were out this afternoon out of Herrington Harbour South, about 17 miles south of the Bay Bridge, and saw nothing. Last Sunday was like running a slalom course down here.
