[C320-list] Inbalance port versus starboard tack

Bev,
I race with a 155 genny and the 23 year old factory main. The main is still in fair shape so I have not yet replaced it, thinking that the vast majority of my power comes from the genny?
We also point a lot better on port tack.

However, I'm thinking that, like John said, it's time to get a new mainsail (mine is 10 years old and looks fine but so do some of my clothes that don't fit anymore!) and that would probably help point even better and go faster. We are still doing fairly well in stiff breezes with this mainsail.

Years ago I had the rigging checked, including the plumb of the mast, by a professional rigging business and they reported all was well. I too just live with it. Having said that, I can point exceptionally close with the sails tight (cars all the way aft for the job) and the traveller all the way over.
