[C320-list] Replacement for Shurflo Fresh Water Pump

Thanks for the comments!
I'm pretty sure the pump is 15 years old (original). I called Shurflo and
they cross referenced it to a current model which I found on Amazon for $101
and ordered.
On another note, I keep learning about sailing in a non-freshwater
environment. I went to change the water intake filter for the HVAC (heater
has been running most of the winter) and found two barnacles growing in the
filter bowl. So much for inserting a chlorine tablet only in the summer!

Your Governing Board conducted its annual meeting on February 6, 2018, by
teleconference. The Board unanimously agreed to nominate the following
slate of officers for 2018:
Commodore--David Allred (incumbent)
Vice Commodore--John Santana (incumbent) Secretary/Treasurer--Bill Culberson
(incumbent) Web Masters--Jeff Hare and David Prudden (incumbents)

Dean, you don't say how old your pump is. If less than 5 years old, you
might consider rebuilding it. Depending on the model, you may be able to buy
two rebuild kits that replace the moving parts in the pump itself. I've done
this once before. Last year, the pump was occasionally cycling so I replaced
with a new pump. Sorry, I can't tell you which one I purchased.

Be sure your leak is in the pump. After several seasons trying to
troubleshoot my cycling fresh water pump I finally found a crack in the
plastic elbow coming out of the hot water tank. When the water was hot it
allowed a leak. It looked like it was broken when it was installed due to
being over tightened.

One of you brought to my attention a potential procedural problem that I
believe should be addressed. My original email suggested additional
nominations and voting within the same time frame. That could present a
problem when folks vote while the floor is still open for nominations. For
that reason, please submit your additional nominations before February 17,
2018. On February 18, I will send another email stating the final slate.
Then, please vote by February 24. If you see any additional tweaks that
need to be made, please let me know. This is a work in progress.
