[C320-list] Splicing Std Horizon GX 1700 cable

I splicing the cable. Inside there are brown, green, blue, yellow, purple, and grey. These are straight colour match. 

Then there is one wrapped in aluminum foil, then very fine sliver wire wrapped around a red wire. 

Can you solder the fine silver wire, then the red wire and then wrap the silver and red with the aluminum foil ?

Or is there a trick I am missing ?
