[C320-list] Fuel gauge

There is a test procedure on the website. The two most common problems are the float hanging up by rubbing against the side of the tank and wiring issues, grounding or shorts. Sender gets changed a lot, but you can test them with an ohmmeter.

Can anyone give me information on a fuel gauge problem I'm having. My 95 model original fuel tank and sending unit is registering full even though it's half empty. I even ran out of fuel because I did not have an accurate gauge. Not sure if I should just go ahead and purchase a new sending unit or if there's some troubleshooting I should do first. I did check the connections on the unit and at the gauge and they are all clean. Thanks Michael 169 Nauti Clew
