[C320-list] Fuel gauge

I thought and did the same for 6 years until a minor (!) recording error saw me running out of fuel when I thought I still had a quarter tank left!
I bought a new gauge and sender, the fitting of both being very simple and now enjoy the peace of mind that a “gross error check” gives me!
Less simple but worth doing (if you have a ‘95 build) is to pull the tank and clean it and inspect the bottom for pitting corrosion
I ended up having a new bottom welded in (many have replaced the whole tank) and added a couple of inspection ports for future cleaning

I even ran out of fuel because I did not have an accurate gauge. Not sure if I should just go ahead and purchase a new sending unit or if there's some troubleshooting I should do first. I did check the connections on the unit and at the gauge and they are all clean. Thanks Michael 169 Nauti Clew
