[C320-list] Splice CT-100 radio cable

Two years ago I ran into similar issues when trying to locate and mount my RAM Mic. I ended up locating the connection and the mic clip on the port side coaming slightly aft of the steering wheel. This made running the wiring much easier and I don't have to reach around the steering wheel when I want to grab the mic. The only potential problem is when someone wants to sit in that location in the cockpit or the possibility of bumping the mic when climbing up to the stern rail seat. So far this arrangement works well for us.

Last year I bought the radio and the remote mic. When I looked at the number of wires going thru both the pedestal tubing or the tube for the engine wires, there wasn't a lot of room for another cable even with connector cut off which would be spliced back on. Plus, I found a lot of silicone squeezed in there to prevent water leaking into the aft berth. So it wouldn't appear easy. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.
