This is why I exhort posters to the list to include their model year and hull no. at the least. Correct replies may depend on that information. 
On our #62, as I recall, the single-line reefing runs through a double-block in the boom, and the outhaul is a direct run. You may have to use an electrician's fish-tape to get it back depending on how far into the boom it has retreated.

My out haul line has disappeared into the boom.

Is it a straight run or is it in a block inside the boom?
