Tom,
Your boat is newer than mine, but I offer the following on what I found when my windlass stopped working.


-- Mine operates off the 4D's in the main cabin, A push/pull switch (breaker)on the Stbd. side turns power on to the windlass and indicates that with a light.
--I accessed the motor by removing the forward most panel in the V-berth.
--- I found the electric cables to the motor did not have a drip loop, and as a result the motor terminal were corroded.
--- I cleaned the terminals, added enough cable to have a drip loop and everything has worked fine for the last 5 years.

Start of the season our Maxwell 500 windless stopped working on our 2008
Catalina 320 MK II.  Light on panel lights up when on ... but nothing
happens when foot pedal switch is depressed.  How do I access the motor to
see if there is a thrown breaker?  Is there a breaker near the batteries?
