"Field's Law" works very well for me on all 3 boats I have owned.  If I have a 50/50 chance of doing something right or wrong the first time out, 90% of the time I will do it wrong the first time out.

Welcome aboard Jerry!  Be sure to include your hull number in your signature line so those with similar C320s can zero in on any potential hints to solve your latest challenges.  The C320 has gone through numerous changes over the years.

Larry, your rule of thirds feels about right to me, however when I fix something that wasn't broke in the first place I just call it preventative maintenance.  Surely it was gonna go sooner or later right?  ;)
