Although I understand that this clamping of the fuel hoses seems like a good approach, I wonder if it is really advisable?  If the hoses are older and becoming brittle, this might create cracks in the hoses and seeping of fuel.  A better approach (albeit expensive at the start) would be to install valves in the fuel lines before and after the Racor.
