Hey Bill!
Never had the lever grow, but I'd have trouble with it popping partly off...I tightened down on the screw at the back of the lever ever so slightly, so as not to crack anything...After a few tweaks it was tight enough and we haven't had a problem since...There is also a belt tension adjuster knob on the back of the wheel drive, That is not the screw I'm talking about...
I'm curious about why the level is contacting the pod now. Could the mounting bracket on the pedestal need tightening/adjusting?Or maybe the pod needs to be opened and adjusted away a bit from the drive unit, if that's possible...
Good luck!~g

After many years of fine service, this year, the clutch handle on my
autopilot strikes the instrument pod housing (below the wheel) when I try
to engage it. Being limited that way, it seems not to engage fully, and
tends to pop up when I'm using the autopilot. Nothing about the setup has
changed from the previous years. I'm holding it down with a small line,
but would like to get it back to normal operating mode. Any ideas?
