[C320-list] Composting head – has anyone done it?

Well, all I can say is that I have done a TON of research in the last six
months after thinking about this for a couple years. I've read firsthand
accounts on blogs, watched YouTube videos, and participated in numerous
online forum discussions. I feel like I've become reasonably knowledgeable
about the pros and cons of the composting head approach versus a
traditional marine head system. The overwhelming majority of accounts that
I seen have concluded that they would do it again.

Oh, and in another "for what it's worth" example, when the box with the new
toilet was sitting in the marina office (they let me ship it there) a dock
neighbor saw it and mentioned to the marina manager that he put in the same
Airhead unit two years ago and he absolutely loves it. Anecdotal accounts
are just that but I've seen so many positive ones now that I'm I'm
reasonably confident this will be a good move.

I won't know for sure until I'm using it, though, and I am keeping my
holding tank in place. It will be sealed and the various hoses removed but
it will be possible to reverse the process if I end up concluding it was an
expensive, boneheaded move.

I will document the process and my satisfaction with the outcome and share
it with the list later.
